Sam Adair has a broad commercial practice, with a particular focus on insurance, professional indemnity and building & construction matters. He also accepts briefs in areas including contractual disputes, corporations law, real property, equity and medical law.
Sam is often briefed to appear in large and complex matters in superior courts, principally the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of New South Wales. He has experience conducting both large and smaller cases in various courts and tribunals, both in New South Wales and interstate.
Sam is currently briefed in matters including representative proceedings concerning the distribution of aluminium composite cladding in Australia, substantial claims involving alleged design defects in mining infrastructure, product liability, as well as contractual and corporate disputes.
Prior to his admission to the Bar, Sam gained experience in the Sydney office of a large national law firm advising and representing professional indemnity insurers on a range of matters including coverage disputes, engineering claims and property damage.
Sam was the recipient of the P. Blaskhi & Sons Prize for achieving the highest aggregate mark for the February 2009 NSW Bar Examinations.
