Ahmed was admitted as a lawyer in 2015 and called to the Bar in 2020. Ahmed has a diverse practice, with particular experience and expertise in financial services, corporate law, regulatory investigations, white collar crime and public inquiries including Royal Commissions.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Ahmed worked as a solicitor at Gilbert + Tobin, Mills Oakley and ASIC, where he developed experience across a wide number of jurisdictions.
Ahmed has worked on a number of high-profile matters, including acting on behalf of a Big Four bank during the Banking Royal Commission and acting on behalf of the Commonwealth in the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. Ahmed has experience acting in disputed matters for large and sophisticated clients including major banks, superannuation fund trustees, insurers, financial advisory firms and private equity firms.
