Rose Cavanagh

Rose was admitted to practice in 2020 and was called to the Bar in 2026. Prior to coming to the Bar, she worked as a Senior Associate in the insurance litigation team at Lander & Rogers, advising on complex commercial disputes.

Rose has broad experience as a general commercial litigator, primarily in civil and commercial disputes, involving insurance, professional negligence, property damage and leasing disputes.

Rose also has experience in coronial inquests and public inquiries and commissions of inquiry, including at ICAC.

Prior to this role, Rose was a solicitor at Wirringa Baiya Aboriginal Women’s Legal Centre, where she provided family law advice and representation to women, including matters involving historical sexual abuse. She also assisted in preparing matters for the Indigenous List in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Prior to this, Rose was selected and performed for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts theatre company in New York.

Rose accepts briefs in all areas of the law.
